Location and access

La Clairière du Moulin is located in the Department of Savoy in the foothills of the French Alps between the villages of Aiguebelette Le Lac and Lépin Le Lac adjacent to Lac d’Aiguebelette. It is situated 20 km, or 15-20 minutes, west of Chambéry, 25 minutes south of the Spa town of Aix-Les-Bains, 45 minutes south of Annecy, 50 minutes north of Grenoble, and an hour east of Lyon.

La Clairière du Moulin makes a great stopover place for journeys to the Alps, being situated just 10 minutes’ drive from the A43 following the banks of Lac d’Aiguebelette. However, Lac d’Aiguebelette and its surrounding environment is a destination in itself, particularly popular in the summer months.

Situated in 4.7 ha of parkland and forest at the foot of the spectacular Massif de l’Epine on the edge of the Chartreuse Natural Regional Park, La Clairière du Moulin looks out over the turquoise and emerald green waters of Lake Aiguebelette, a little over a kilometre away. In a very tranquil corner, but still just less than 10 minutes from the motorway.

>Come off the motorway A43 (running between Lyon and Chambery) at exit (sortie) 12, "Sortie, Le Lac d'Aiguebelette”.
>Follow the road round lake on the east bank by turning left at the roundabout after the toll barrier.
>After approximately 6 km you will pass through Aiguebelette Le Port and then shortly afterwards, arrive in the village of Aiguebelette Le Lac.
>Here, just after the church, you should take the road on the left towards "Les Echelles" and "Attignat-Oncin".
>Go up the hill through the village, cross the railway line and follow the main road round to the right.
>Then after 1km, you turn left uphill, where you should see a sign "La Clairière du Moulin" and you should follow the road to the end.
>The house is at the end of the road !
